Rare Event Horizon for Southern California

Filmmakers, art and book lovers, and educators are in for some
otherworldly dessert when they venture into Ruby's world!

Join 7-year-old Ruby on the worst day of her entire life in a future
spaceship society run by superstitious genetic engineers.  Her
parents are put down for being daydreamers--treated as an
incurable disease by the Admins in the Triton community in
2992 M.N.  After their fate is sealed, miserable Ruby is prodded
by a legendary 100-year-old woman to escape into the wildness
of Saardu, a planet where all of the animals are more
enlightened than most people. Ruby wants nothing more than
the impossible: to live free with her parents in this natural world.
Her wish is thwarted when she is cast as the unwilling hero into
an outrageous quest to save the last giant dragonfly in
existence.

March 7-21, the local community of southern California has a
rare opportunity to host a book-signing event where readers of
all ages can obtain the collectible version of this special book
with both author and illustrator signatures.
Ludovic Leleu, the
artist who illustrated the novel, will be visiting from France. The
author resides in Costa Mesa.

SAARDU: THE ADVENTURE BEGINS was written for the screen
by
Carma Dillon and began winning awards last summer.
Mentored by UCLA's prestigious
Richard Walter, Carma went on
to write a novel version to flesh out an amazing backstory linking
children of the 11th dimension (Zenyans) to our universe.  One
sample of this brew is found in the character of Triton, who is a
real Zenyan boy projecting himself into the 4th dimension as a
sentient spaceship.  It's time for a whole new myth!

Reviewers have gotten excited about this story, calling it the next
STAR WARS or the next HARRY POTTER.  "An out-of-this-world
adventure that shouldn't be missed.  Sure to become an instant
classic!"

This rare book is not available through ordinary means.  It was
ordered in very limited supply from a local book printer,
Intensive
Image, Inc.  The writer uses it as a promotional tool when
pitching the story to potential filmmakers.  Carma will offer 440
books to the general public in a way that maximizes the benefit
to children.  This book-signing event will be used to raise
awareness and funds for a worthy charity.  All proceeds will go
to
GEMS.

The only question now is,
who will win the bid to host this
special community event?
